For nearly 8 months now all we have heard was the absolute need for a public option.

And I quote "The plan will NOT work with a public option"

Why the about face?
Too much heat from the town halls?
Too big of a problem for the government to fix themselves?
A Political disaster for Obama?
The cost was way underestimated?
Maybe it's juts not as easy as they once thought.
