A recent report from the National Business Coalition on Health showed that while many employers are aware of obesity issues with their workers, many don't have the proper items to ensure their employees get the best care.
The report explained that in order to prevent obesity issues among workers, the best way would be to include weight management as a part of a wellness opportunity. In addition, employers do not have all of the proper information needed to learn about how obesity rates can affect employee safety, as well as how it is connected to other conditions. "Given the amount of time an employee is at their place of work, there is an opportunity to positively influence the choices they make about their health," said Andrew Webber, NBCH president and CEO. "A workplace that emphasizes health is more likely to have policies that promote healthy behavior such as incentives and access to health resources." Consumers who don't feel their company offers the best plan possible may want to make sure. By comparing their current, employer-sponsored plan with policies that have affordable health insurance rates, they may find a more attractive alternative. Trackbacks
